“Mr. J.D.R Beukes” recently wrote that there has been an update with regards to Respiratory Protective Equipment Quality Control. He stated that “Mineral Resources has  legislated respiratory equipment to be supplied to mines. The Homologation process SABS, which has been legislated as follows”:

8)Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Â The employer must ensure that all respiratory protective equipment used at a mine, other than body-worn self-contained self rescuers, comply with the South African bureau of Standards Code of Practice, Homologation of Respiratory equipment SABS 0338.
